Position Overview
Our Somerset, NJ office is seeking responsible, self-sufficient, energetic entry-level Engineers to work on environmental investigation and remediation projects, involving field work. Candidates should be prepared for professional growth in areas such as site investigation, assessment of remedial alternatives, management of investigative and engineering tasks, conceptual plans, and client/regulatory personnel interaction. The ideal candidate will be motivated to continue to develop and build their personal knowledge and skills to assist with the growth and success of the office. Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred; Environmental, Chemical, Civil Engineering
• 0-3 years environmental consulting experience
• Ability to produce quality work on budget and on schedule
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with technical writing experience
• On track for a professional license (E.I.T. or P.E.)

Preferred

• Familiarity with environmental sampling techniques
• Familiarity with drilling and well construction techniques
• Knowledge of geologic concepts such as stratigraphy, groundwater flow and geochemistry
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Experience with databases, GIS, and/or AutoCAD a plus

Essential Duties

• 50%-80% field work during the first three years
• Support the office project work and collaborate with technical staff to service clients and complete projects on time and on budget
• Assistance with site investigation, data analysis, and report preparation activities
• Environmental sampling of soil, soil vapor, indoor air, and groundwater
• Health and safety monitoring
• Oversight of remediation and construction subcontractors
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for construction
• Perform and check engineering calculations
• Assist with design of remediation processes and systems
• Assist with evaluation/optimization of existing remediation systems
